Frequently Asked Questions
  • When will I get my race number and pack?
    All race packs will be sent out from 25th May 2009.

  • Is there anywhere to leave my kit/baggage on the day?
    There will be a small kit tent in the start area. Please try to leave as much kit in your car. If you wish to leave your kit in the kit tent, remember to write your number on the baggage tag which is sent out with your race pack.

  • Are there any first aid points on the course?
    St John Ambulance services are located along the course and at the start and finish areas to ensure your safety.

  • Are there many toilets?
    There will be plenty of toilets at the start (Orange car park), at the finish area and also at the drink stations.

  • Is there an official race photographer?
    Yes, photos are taken by Marathon Photos and will be available at: www.marathon-photos.com a few days after the event. You will also be able to download personalised videos of the race.

  • How many drink stations are there?
    There will be a water station located at the 5km marker on Cotton Lane.

  • When will results be available?
    Full results will be available online within 24 hours of the finish.

  • What are the timings on the day?
    The main race will start at 8:00am. Please ensure you arrive at least an hour before the start. Prize giving for the 10K will be at approx. 9:15am. The 2K Challenge will start at 8:10am.

  • If I double book myself or am unable to take part in the race, can I cancel my entry and get a refund?
    No, there will be no refunds or deferrals.

  • Is there a pre-race warm up?
    There will be a collective warm-up at 7:30am, where you will be led through a series of mobility and stretch exercises.
  • Will there be a sweeper bus?
    The sweeper bus follows at the back of the race. Between km 1 and 3. It travels at 10 minute km pace. Anyone overtaken reverts to a pedestrian. We cannot guarantee marshals and road closures to still be in place, so please proceed with caution.
